About this course:
Working in a primarily male-dominated profession, women artists have faced social and artistic challenges in their expressions of creativity. In this course, we explore the lives of 18th and 19th European and American women artists who created remarkable works of art that reflected the issues and artistic sensibilities of their times. We discuss their artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, and photography; and discuss the artistic movements which influenced their work, including Rococo, Neoclassicism, American Folk Art, Impressionism, Victorian, and others.Corporate Education
