About this course:Join the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program as we bring together several of the program’s editing and publishing instructors to discuss the current state of the publishing industry, the ins and outs of various professional editing and publishing roles, and tips on navigating the job search in these exciting fields. Before the panel, students in the Editing and Publishing certificate and Literary Representation certificate will be invited to a 30-minute virtual meet-and-greet with the panelists. Following the panel, all attendees will have the opportunity to meet other students pursuing careers in editing and publishing in an open networking meetup.
Summer 2021 Schedule
Remote instruction courses are taught online in real-time with regularly scheduled class meetings held via Zoom. Course materials can be accessed any time through an online learning platform.
Internet access required.
This event will take place live on Zoom. The panel discussion will take place from 4:30 pm - 6 pm PST followed by an open networking meetup for all attendees at 6 pm - 7 pm PST. Students enrolled in the Certificate in Editing and Publishing and/or Certificate in Literary Representation will be invited to join early for a meet-and-greet with the panelists from 4 pm - 4:30 pm PST.
