Writers, communicators, and professionals in every field can benefit from acquiring the techniques to mount a compelling case, clinch the argument and call to action. In this course, students discover what makes opinion writing--editorials, columns, and commentaries--stimulating, memorable, provocative and persuasive. Students study past masters of the craft through texts and handouts, as well as learn from some of the modern masters who join as guests. Along the way, students have ample opportunity to develop their own voice and hone their skills in a variety of assignments.
